Great, quality product. Intuitive controls and I like the spotlight and floodlight modes. The buttons could be bigger and easier to hit.

Spot 400R
A great improvement over previous generations. Rechargeable feature is great, no more guilt of using throwaway batteries. The Spot 400R is significantly lighter, thinner, and more comfortable than the Storm 500R in my opinion and I would recommend it over the Storm 500R unless you need the extra charging capacity of the 500R. I found them to be similar in light output which is incredible. For the price, these lights are a great value. The features are easy to use, I found the tap feature unnecessary but I haven’t played with it enough to know if I will end up liking it in the future.

Easy to charge!
Great headlamp. Having a rechargeable battery is great for staying out a little later and I can easily charge it when I get home.

No USB-C
Immediately returned it to REI once I realized I’d have to be packing another charging cable (micro usb). Love the idea of a rechargeable headlamp but I’ll wait for the usb-c next year to replace my 5 year old BD
